Yes, wine lovers and wine beginners. Wine. In. A. Can. Isn’t great and scary all at the same time?! As one may learn about me, when it comes to wine, I am always trying something new and this version of vino is no different. Okay, to be honest, I did not actually purchase this wine at first. I would always see it in the grocery and tell myself that I would try it out a different time and grab my bottle of Pinot.
“One should always be drunk. That’s all that matters…But with what? With wine, with poetry, or with virtue, as you chose. But get drunk.” Charles Baudelaire
So, I asked my boyfriend to grab a bottle of wine from the store while out getting dinner and guess what he came back with…not a bottle, but a CAN! 😳
Instantly, I was intrigued, but I must admit a bit hesitant. I popped this can open and like a soda pop; it was a loud sound as to demonstrate extreme acidity. Pinot Noir with strong spice, cherry, woody, and blackberry notes. The aftertaste is a bit rugged for my taste, but the potency is REAL. The 13% is an instant buzz, so be careful when indulging. I was able to share one can as the quality is very good and strong.
I paired this wine with brie cheese, sesame crackers, prosciutto, and dark chocolate.
