Anotha’ Red Blend

Happy Wine Wednesday! Woop! Woop! And… I picked another red blend. Nothing too exciting, but definitely better than what I expected. This red blend was randomly picked as I was wanting to pick an organic red to make my life feel better.

I decanted this red blend two hours before indulging and it was an excellent idea. At first taste, it was a great balance of sweet and tart. Semi-acidic, the dark purple grapes were smooth and full. On the pallet, woody, spicy, & unripe berries for the obvious tartness.

I paired this with some asian meat-balls, pan fried, with a broccoli and white jasmine rice. Honestly, it was not the best food pairing. In retrospect, I should have definitely had a new-york strip steak, garlic rub butter atop, and a baked potato.

Cheers!
